Project Background

Having previously run a virtual conference in 2020 for their North American audience, SnapLogic partnered with Sleek to continue their virtual event strategy and produce an engaging one-day conference for their European prospects, customers and partners.

Looking for a virtual event platform suited towards their EMEA audience, SnapLogic approached Sleek for their expertise in virtual events and recommendations. The platform needed to meet the following requirements: 

  • Host a conference for up to 300 delegates, 

  • Run multiple event tracks,

  • Give valuable attendee insights and engagement figures  

  • Have a user and speaker friendly approach

The Sleek Approach

Understanding the importance of a virtual event platform needing to be suited to the event rather than attempting to fit an event into a virtual platform, Sleek worked closely with SnapLogic to understand their target audience and the overall event objectives to find a suitable platform.

Successfully sourcing a platform, Sleek then worked to custom-build the CMS of the platform to align with SnapLogic’s brand, content and creative. This included: 

  • Creation of event pages including the agenda, live stream, exhibition area, speaker pages, survey and activity feed

  • Uploading SnapLogic imagery 

  • Branding the platform to SnapLogic colours and Brand ID formats 

  • Working closely with event sponsors to build the Sponsor Exhibitor space;  uploading sponsor documents, content and contact details 

  • Connecting a Twitter feed into the virtual platform using the hashtag #EnterpriseIntegrationSummit 

  • Uploading event registrations to then build attendee profile pages

  • Building speaker profile pages

In developing the customer journey, Sleek also worked closely with SnapLogic on the pre-event communication strategy to boost registration numbers but also to encourage attendees to log into the platform a week before the event to set up their profile and explore the platform. Attendees were able to upload a picture and connect their social media accounts. 

To ensure all ran smoothly on the day, Sleek ensured full technical speaker rehearsals were undertaken so everyone understood how the platform works, best practices on how to present virtually, how to connect their screen when presenting and speakers were given a chance to ask any questions.

 

The Results

The Enterprise Integration Summit comprised of 33 live sessions, 8 event sponsors and 35 speakers. The event was designed to be spread over two event tracks, giving attendees the option to create a schedule suited to their interests which proved to be a huge success.

With over 330 attendees logging in to attend the event on the day, achieving their goal of 300 live attendees, delegates experienced a range of fireside chats from the leading SnapLogic team members, customer showcases, thought leadership sessions as well as event sponsor features. As content was essential to this event, to ensure the virtual sessions remained engaging and interactive, Sleek advised for features such as polling & live Q&A to be mixed in throughout the event to allow attendees to engage. 

Understanding that brand awareness was also a key component of the event, attendees were encouraged to Tweet the event hashtag throughout the day highlighting the sessions they were attending and enjoying. Integrating this Twitter feature into the virtual platform activity feed not only allowed SnapLogic to build brand awareness on social media but also created a community within the event. 

Post-event, Sleek worked on editing the video recordings from the event to allow for a seamless on-demand experience that attendees can now go back to review and revisit sessions from the day. 

With lead generation and brand awareness the main drivers for companies to hold an event or sponsor an event, a post-event report was given to each company to assist with their lead generation and ROI engagement figures. This report gave insights into which attendees clicked onto their sponsor page, engaged with the content on their page and provided information on what delegates attended which event sessions.
