Our Commitment

Sleek Events Ltd is committed to reducing the environmental impact of our operations and the events we deliver. We aim to operate responsibly and sustainably, meeting all applicable environmental legislation and continually improving our environmental performance.

We will:

  • Meet all legal requirements identified through the evaluation of environmental aspects and impacts and ensure continued compliance through regular monitoring.

  • Seek to reduce the environmental impact of our business through continuous review of design, production and operational practices.

  • Prevent pollution and minimise adverse environmental impacts, including the effects of noise, dust and other nuisance on the environment and local communities, as far as is reasonably practicable.

  • Use energy and raw materials efficiently and minimise waste through reduction, reuse and recycling.

  • Dispose of waste responsibly in compliance with all applicable legislation.

  • Promote environmental awareness through employee training and engagement.

  • Provide appropriate training to ensure employees are competent to carry out their work without adverse environmental impact.

  • Report key environmental impacts, set objectives and targets, and review performance regularly.

  • Maintain an environmental management system aligned with ISO 14001:2026.

We also work collaboratively with clients, venues and suppliers to identify and implement more sustainable event solutions.

Our Environmental Policies

1. CLIMATE & ENERGY

We are committed to supporting the decarbonisation of our operations and event delivery by measuring and reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with travel, freight, materials and energy use.

We work in partnership with our clients and suppliers to:

  • Collect emissions data

  • Identify reduction opportunities

  • Support lower-carbon delivery approaches

We support the use of renewable energy within our operations and encourage its use across our supply chain and venues wherever feasible.

2. RESOURCE USE & WASTE

We aim to minimise resource consumption and environmental impact by:

  • Reducing waste generation

  • Prioritising reuse and recycling

  • Promoting efficient use of materials across all projects

We apply circular economy thinking in event delivery wherever reasonably practicable.

We also seek to minimise water consumption within our operations and work with suppliers and venues to promote responsible water use and management.

3. RESPONSIBLE PROCUREMENT, CHEMICAL MANAGEMENT & ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

As an events agency, we recognise that a significant proportion of our environmental impact sits within our supply chain.

We seek to minimise environmental impacts through:

  • Responsible sourcing of materials, including preference for recycled and certified sustainable products

  • Minimising reliance on single-use materials

  • Working with partners who consider biodiversity, land use and deforestation impacts

  • Taking reasonable steps to minimise disturbance to land and soil when operating in outdoor environments

We expect suppliers and venues to manage hazardous substances responsibly and support high standards of animal welfare where relevant to event delivery (including catering and content).

Supply Chain Environmental Requirements

We work closely with our supply chain partners to minimise the environmental impact of our projects and ensure alignment with our sustainability commitments.

In addition to requiring robust environmental management systems, we expect our suppliers to:

  • Environmental Management: Maintain appropriate environmental management practices to reduce waste, energy consumption and carbon emissions.

  • Sustainable Materials: Prioritise hire and re-use over new production wherever possible. Where new materials are required, suppliers should favour recycled or sustainably sourced materials and minimise reliance on single-use plastics and PVC.

  • Waste Reduction: Adopt circular economy principles and implement waste reduction strategies, prioritising reuse, recycling, donation and composting over landfill and incineration.

  • Carbon Management: Actively seek to reduce their carbon footprint through efficient operations, including production methods, transportation and logistics.

  • Emissions Measurement & Reporting: Support Sleek Events’ commitment to measuring event emissions using recognised tools such as ISLA Trace. Suppliers are required to provide timely and accurate data upon request relating to key emissions categories, including:

  • Energy

  • Waste

  • Production materials

  • Graphics

  • Food and beverage

  • Transport

  • Crew

  • Audience travel and accommodation

  • Compliance: Comply with all applicable environmental legislation and regulations.

Monitoring, Reporting and Continuous Improvement

We are committed to:

  • Monitoring the environmental impact of our operations and event delivery

  • Reporting key environmental metrics, including emissions data where available

  • Setting measurable objectives and targets

  • Reviewing performance regularly to drive continuous improvement

Governance

This policy applies to all Sleek Events Ltd employees and is supported by our environmental management processes and supplier requirements.

We expect all employees, contractors and suppliers to support the commitments outlined in this policy.
