Databricks brought its global Data + AI World Tour to London in 2025, delivering a flagship event designed to connect the data and AI community, while showcasing the real-world application of its platform at scale.
Hosted at Excel London, the event was built to accommodate attendees across a fully integrated environment, with over 2,800 in the keynote theatre alone and a dedicated Executive Forum for 200 senior leaders, enabling both enterprise decision-makers and technical audiences to engage within a single, high-impact experience.
The event combined large-scale plenary sessions with a multi-stream technical programme, consisting of six breakout sessions, two training programmes and live product demonstrations, alongside an expansive expo environment featuring 37 sponsors[JK1] . Complemented by meeting suites and private spaces for commercial conversations, the experience was designed not only for learning and inspiration, but to drive meaningful business engagement across the Databricks ecosystem.
Technology was embedded throughout the experience, from live demos and hands-on activations to fully integrated AV and broadcast infrastructure supporting seamless content delivery across concurrent sessions. Interactive elements, including AI-led experiences and simulation-based challenges, encouraged direct engagement with the platform, transforming the event from a traditional conference into an immersive demonstration of Databricks’ capabilities in action.
Creatively, the environment balanced scale with impact, using large-format digital content, full-venue branding and high-spec production to create a cohesive and immersive brand world. The keynote opened with a choreographed, high-energy moment featuring synchronised lighting, LED wristbands and staged effects, bringing the full audience into a shared experience while reinforcing Databricks’ position at the forefront of AI innovation.
The attendee journey was carefully designed to support efficiency at scale, with streamlined registration, optimised entry processes and a considered layout enabling smooth movement across a complex, multi-zone venue. Catering and networking spaces were integrated throughout, ensuring continuous opportunities for connection without disrupting content flow, and maintaining a high-quality experience from arrival through to departure.
